Qantas reckons the good vibes are on the way... and stop-overs are out the door

Direct from Australia to London or New York? Yes Please!

What's the key learning?

  • Boeing and Airbus have been in competition for what feels like forever.
  • The two companies have a duopoly in the jetliner space, but it looks like Airbus is pulling ahead.

👉 Background: Qantas had a bit of a 'mare thanks to COVID... but things are definitely on the up thanks to several key updates it just announced.

👉 What happened: Qantas said it was on a clear pathway back to full recovery and expects the company to return to profitability in the next financial year.

👉 What else: Quanny's also buying 12 new Airbus A350s, which'll fly directly from Oz to London or New York. Yup, no more 12-hour stop-overs! But poor ol' Boeing might not be sky-high over this news.

🔔What's the key learning?

💡Airbus and Boeing hold a pretty tight duopoly in the jetliner space. But the rivalry is bigger than Kanye vs Pete Davidson.

💡 The two aircraft makers look the same... and kinda act the same. So, the competition between them has been going on forever.

💡 While 2020 was pretty much a write-off for both Airbus and Boeing, 2021 saw Airbus edge head in terms of aircrafts delivered and most flights. And 2022's gotten off to a good start for A-Bizzle thanks to this new deal with Qantas.
