LinkedIn launches premium company pages as it continues to expand beyond 'giving kudos' to a co-worker

LinkedIn has quietly rolled out its new premium Company Pages.

What's the key learning?

  • The new Premium Company Pages features AI support in writing posts and also includes a golden verification badge for Companies.
  • The new premium subscription is an addition to other existing offerings from LinkedIn such as Premium Career, Premium Business, Sales Navigator Core, LinkedIn Learning, and others.
  • LinkedIn yet found another way to increase revenue for its business by adding more premium subscriptions.

👉 Background: LinkedIn launched as the professional networking platform and has since evolved into the perfect tool for shameless self-promotion. Back in 2016, Microsoft acquired LinkedIn for $26 billion USD and began pushing its paid subscriptions.

👉 What happened: LinkedIn has quietly rolled out its new premium Company Pages. It includes AI support to write LinkedIn posts, and a golden verification badge for companies.

👉 What else: This isn't LinkedIn's first premium feature. It currently offers LinkedIn Premium for individuals, as well as subscription products for sales people and recruiters. Premium Company Pages is the latest in LinkedIn's growing list of premium products for customers.
